To the north of the house lay
a mountain range that marked the north sea, which covered much of
this side of the planet. To the east, farther than the towers was a
forest that stretched for several miles before it gave way to
grasslands. A small mountain range marked the end of the grasslands
and the start of a desert, which eventually led to a sea that was
separated from the larger north ocean by a bridge of land that
connected to the mountain chain in the north. To the south lay a lava
field that eventually cooled off until you reached the south pole. To
the west was covered by clouds. It was always covered by clouds, and
it was on Terrance's ridiculously long checklist to eventually
explore that area of the continent. He had a theory that it was
marshes, or a large sinkhole with a mishmash of mountains around it.
